SINTESIS SENYAWA ORGANIK ZAT PEMEKA CAHAYA (DYES): TETRAFENILPORFIRIN (TPP) DENGAN METODE MICROWAVE ASSISTED ORGANIC SYNTHESIS TERMODIFIKASI (S-MAOS)

Senyawa porfirin dapat diaplikasikan berbagai bidang salah satunya pada kimia fisika sebagai fotosensitizer atau zat pemeka cahaya (dyes) sistem konversi fotoenergi seperti Dye Sensitized Solar Cell (DSSC). meso-tetrafenilporfirin (TPP) adalah satu senyawa organik turunan yang digunakan dyes dalam DSSC. TPP disintesis secara konvensional. Akan tetapi, sintesis konvensional ini masih memiliki kekurangan yaitu rendemen rendah, waktu reaksi lama, susunan alat rumit, biaya produksi tinggi, polusi lingkungan, dan penggunaan pelarut eluen berbahaya. Sedangkan non-konvensional dengan metode Microwave Assisted Organic Synthesis (MAOS) dilakukan cepat, menghasilkan lebih selektivitas produk samping sedikit, kemudahan pemisahan, efisien, ekonomis, menggunakan aman.Sintesis MAOS dioptimasi untuk meningkatkan kembali rendemen. Hasil sudah dimodifikasi (MAOS termodifikasi (S-MAOS)) dikarakterisasi Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), Ultraviolet–Visible Spectroscopy (UV-VIS), fluorescence spectroscopy, Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR). penelitian menunjukan bahwa S-MAOS optimal daripada MAOS. Rendemen senayawa masing-masing 9,77% 16,42%.
